Direct specialty care is a model where patients pay their doctor directly for their treatment. This allows for a personalized relationship with the doctor and more flexibility in communication. It can provide better treatment without interference from third parties and insurance companies.
RPC is for those who are tired of long wait times or lack access to a pulmonologist in their area. We cater to those seeking second opinions or direct access to personalized lung care. Our longer, detail-oriented visits provide comprehensive assessments, which many patients prefer over short visits. Insurance-based clinics may lead to unexpected out-of-pocket expenses and surprise bills. At RPC, all costs are transparent, so you can make informed decisions regarding your treatment.
RPC is a direct care practice that doesn’t charge insurance (except Medicare patients). However, if your private insurance covers out-of-network expenses, you may be reimbursed or have some of the costs credited toward your deductible. You can check your insurance documents or contact your insurer for more information. RPC can provide a Superbill/Invoice for consultations and set up a membership structure that can be reimbursed through your insurance.
Yes, RPC can order lab tests or send prescriptions to pharmacies, which can then be obtained through typical insurance coverage. RPC also has special cash payment pricing through LabCorp, Quest and Forest City Imaging. These prices might be cheaper than your deductible, so do not forget to take advantage and ask our front desk for price list.
Common prescription medications used for respiratory problems such as steroids, some antibiotics, cough medications and nebulizers will be available for you to take with you at a very cheap price. You do not need to stop at pharmacy. We can assist in requesting inhaler specimens. At RPC, we do not carry any narcotics nor dispense them. Flu & pneumococcal vaccines may be available depending on the demand.
